February USP 797 Tip of the Day: Wipe down all products before bringing into cleanroom

Wipe down all products with a disinfectant solution (e.g. 70% IPA or fresh bleach solution (1 %)) before bringing them into the cleanroom.

An effective way to minimize the introduction of particles (e.g. dust, dirt, and cardboard) or microorganisms is to wipe down components prior to moving them into the cleanroom and ISO Class 5 engineering control (e.g. laminar airflow workbench, biological safety cabinet or compounding aseptic isolator, formerly known as a barrier isolator or glove box.)

Daily tips in February are from a document Eric S. Kastango produced in 2006.
